Jehovah Jireh – Our Great Orchestrator

Jehovah Jireh – Our Great Orchestrator

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it”, when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21 (ESV)

Yesterday, I related the story of the imprisoned pastor’s family in Russia, who were in desperate need and how God miraculously provided for them. God used the deacon to take the treacherous journey on that dark, wintry night to the family’s cabin and provide them with the food they so desperately needed.

Before the family faced this need, God had already made a way for them to receive the provision they needed. He knew exactly who He would use to supply their need. He knew that the deacon, despite his fears, would be obedient to what He asks Him to do. The deacon had a deep trust in God and allowed the Holy Spirit to guide Him even when it meant risking His life. So when the Holy Spirit spoke with clear instructions, he knew he had to be obedient. When God orchestrates meeting our needs, He will use someone willing to be guided by His Holy Spirit. Someone, just like the deacon, whom God can use as His instrument in the challenges we face.

God Orchestrates The Open Doors

God can also orchestrate the means He wants to use to meet our challenges through personal guidance by His Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit guides us, He gives us specific instructions so that we can be in a position for God to activate what we need to receive as His provision. We could also call this a place where God has opened a door for us. For us to be in that position, we need to yield to what God is doing in our lives and what the Holy Spirit is instructing us to do. When we yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we give up our own ideas of how God should meet our needs, and we wholly trust what He is doing. We trust Him and forfeit our own desires (Galatians 5:16). We do this so that His will can be done in our lives. So that we can be a testimony of His miracle-working power and so that Christ may be glorified.

If we function according to our ability alone, we get the glory; if we function according to the power of the Spirit within us, God gets the glory. He wants to reveal Himself to a watching world. Henry Blackaby

Reflection

Will you allow God to orchestrate the means He wants to use to meet your challenges? Will you allow the Holy Spirit to guide you so that you can be in the place where God has opened His door for you?

Prayer

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for giving me Your Spirit of truth who guides me into all truth. Thank You for speaking to others whom You want to use as Your instrument to come to my aid. Help me, Lord, to yield to Your Holy Spirit so that I will hear Your instructions and be in the place I need to be to see Your open door of provision. In Jesus’ name, amen.
